Mission, Vision and Values
The Association québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires (AQPP) is the professional association which represents all owner-pharmacists in Quebec, whether or not they are affiliated with a chain or commercial name, since 1970.
Today, the AQPP represents over 2,000 owner-pharmacists of nearly 1,900 pharmacies in Quebec.
The mission of the AQPP is to assess, protect, defend and develop the economic, social, legal and professional interests of its members and of community pharmacy in Quebec. Safeguarding the right of property and professional independence is at the heart of our mission.
A pillar of community pharmacy in Quebec, the AQPP provides undeniable leadership with regard to its members’ professional and economic performance so as to optimize the role of pharmacists in the health system both in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.
We were given the mandate to negotiate the best service reimbursement agreements for our members in order to ensure that Quebec pharmacies remain financially sound. We also see to their proper application and support our members as they gain a better understanding of said agreements. Finally, we are taking action to ensure that community pharmacists are recognized as key professionals within Quebec’s healthcare system.
